One hundred seventeen awards were given out in total at the show. There were 22 gold awards with 20 being given to Cranford Co., one to Few, and one to Slate Creative. Cranford Co. won 85 awards in all, the Sells Agency won nine, UAMS won six, Tyson Foods won five, Arkansas Children’s Hospital won four, Few and Slate Creative won three each, and DSG Consulting took home two awards.

The American Advertising Awards are the advertising industry's largest and most representative competition, recognizing creative excellence and the very best advertising both in local competitions and nationwide. It is the only competition that includes three rigorous levels of judging.

“The ADDYs are a great way for advertising agencies to test their creative skills and see their work up against the best of the best, not just locally, but regionally and nationally,” said Ross Cranford, AdClub Little Rock President. All of the gold and silver awards from Little Rock have been sent to Fort Worth, Texas to compete in the 10th District ADDY Awards, up against the best agencies from Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Louisiana. Winners from there will proceed to the National ADDYs to be awarded in New Orleans, Louisiana this year.  “Of note this year was the large number of digital and social entries, including the Best of Show for Twitter,” said AdClub Treasurer Ramanda Cody, “It really shows the direction our industry is moving.”

Also announced at the ADDYs were new membership rates, including the individual rate of $150, and scalable group rates for agencies starting at $325. “Our goal is to get as many people as possible active and involved in the AdClub,” said Sandra McGrew, AdClub Vice President and director of membership. “We are planning numerous exciting, informative, and educational programs for 2017—starting with the CoreConnect Conference on April 27th.”

Judges for the awards traveled to Little Rock from Washington, DC; Kansas City, Missouri; and Memphis, Tennessee.
